Monitoring & Evaluation: VUSM Social Mission Committee

The Social Mission Committee (SMC) at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (VUSM) aims to further the school's mission to educate diverse, socially and culturally accountable future physician leaders who understand systems of care and social determinants of health.
As the Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Committee for SMC, I developed Health Equity Needs Assessment survey in collaboration with faculty to gather student perspectives about existing health equity efforts and to identify opportunities for improving the health equity curriculum. I also created a new organization chart and an Annual Report to summarize the committee’s accomplishments.
